Project Goal: The
goal of my project is to create a piece of furniture that will best serve
studying college students while also providing them with information on how to
de-stress and utilize it for their productivity and relaxation.
Chosen Process: I want to focus on the use of a beanbag chair
that serves the purpose of efficiency and relaxation.
Location: I
want my chair to be placed in a quiet corner of the Kent State Library, Kent
Free Library or in any study lounge that will be utilized by students who need
to study
Colors:

Blue: tranquil,
peaceful, encourages calmness, dark hues have stronger effect

Pink: soft,
tranquil, peaceful, promotes better balance of energy

Yellow: sunny,
cheerful, lifts spirits & combats stress

Green: restful,
quiet, soothing, invites harmonious feelings to diffuse anxiety

Violet: peace,
strength, wisdom, can promote peaceful feeling that relieves stress
Final Steps: “Tips
on how to de-stress”
I think these tips are going to be situation and dependent
on the individual looking to de-stress, but they will most definitely be of
beneficial information to the user.
Considering the use of sacred geometry, I want to have 3-5
main ideas of how to de-stress, and in a web-type of design idea, I want to
incorporate 3-5 sub-ideas under each main idea.
I want to make the ottoman the key graphic, with the colors and pattern tied
in to the main chair.
